Entry

What identification will I need to present on entry?

Out 2 Lunch Festival is a licensed 18+ event

Photo ID is required for entry and may be required to purchase alcohol in line with RSA restrictions.

Patrons must have valid photo ID in the form of:

  • Valid Australian Driver’s licence or learner permit,
  • Valid Passport or State/Territory proof of age cards
  • Valid Keypass

Search policy & prohibited items

As a condition of entry all visitors must be searched. This is for us to ensure that no one is carrying anything dangerous into the venue. Items which are not allowed into the venue include: Illegal Substances, Legal Highs, Alcohol, Liquids of any sorts – including perfumes / liquid makeup products / aerosols / drinks / glass of any sorts – perfume bottles and glass bottles. No food. No flares or fireworks, selfie sticks, weapons of any descriptions or replicas. The search policy will delay queuing so please ensure to arrive early to the event.

Can I bring drugs to this event?

This event has a zero tolerance policy towards drugs. As a condition of entry all customers must undertake a search to ensure that no drugs or any other dangerous items are taken within the venue. We have a zero tolerance policy for anyone found with drugs on their person.

SPECIAL PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Out 2 Lunch is committed to maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all persons on site and is aware that some of the festival audience may be required to bring prescribed medicines and/or special foods onto site.

To gain entry to the event with special medical requirements, you must ensure the following:

  1. Any medicine is in its original container, with the pharmacy sticker still in place, and issued in the name of the ticket holder i.e. DO NOT peel the label off or carry someone else’s medication.
  2. The quantity carried is the minimum required for the duration of the event.
  3. DO NOT bring non-essential tablets such as vitamin supplements or over the counter painkillers.
  4. Be prepared to be questioned at the entry gate or inside the event, but do not seek to conceal medication.

NOTE: Patrons without approved medicine in its original container, with the pharmacy sticker and issued in the name of the ticket holder will be unable to enter the event with the medicinal items.

Will there be pass outs?

There are STRICTLY NO PASS OUTS (exit and re-entry) for this event.

Yes, this is an 18+ event.

Ticketing

Where can I purchase tickets?

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.

All tickets can be purchased from Ticketek Australia. Note that Ticketek is the only authorised seller of this event. To ensure you don’t end up with invalid tickets, DO NOT buy them through any unauthorised resellers (eg. ViaGoGo, The Ticket Merchant).

Are there any authorized resellers?

No, Ticketek is the only authorised seller of this event. Ticketek is committed to protecting all genuine fans and applies strict anti-scalping measures. Ticketek is the only authorised ticket seller for OUT 2 LUNCH FESTIVAL and Ticketek Marketplace is the only authorised reselling platform. Tickets listed for resale on Ticketek Marketplace are strictly capped at face value.

How do I access my ticket to show at entry?

To ensure a smooth entry into the festival, please ensure you have your tickets ready to go and follow the three steps below.

  1. You can access your tickets in the TICKETEK APP which you can present at the entry gate or share to your friends via their mobile number.
  2. DOWNLOAD your ticket and add it to your phone's wallet before you arrive and have the barcode ready for scanning at the gate, with your phone brightness turned up to allow scanners to pick it up easily. Please also ensure your phone is charged.
  3. If you're coming in a group, please SHARE your tickets with your fellow attendees before you arrive as phone service in large crowds can be unreliable.

How many tickets can I buy?

Ticket holders can purchase up to 10 tickets per transaction.

Will there be shuttle buses?

TO COOLANGATTA:

FREE Shuttle Bus Services will be running from 12pm on event day.

Pick up locations across the Gold Coast:

  • Varsity Lakes Train Station
  • Broadbeach Light Rail
  • Tugun Park & Ride

Please check back for bus stop locations and times, which will be published here a few days prior to the event.

FROM COOLANGATTA:

FREE Shuttle Bus Services will be running from the event site to the following locations from 8.30pm on event day.

  • Varsity Lakes Train Station
  • Broadbeach Light Rail
  • Burleigh Heads
  • Palm Beach
  • Tugun Park & Ride

Please follow the signs to the bus zone located on Marine Parade, between Warner Street and MacDonald Street. Services will run continuously and will continue until the event area is clear.

Please follow signage around the event to the shuttle bus point for your selected destination.

Will there be taxis and rideshare available?

A Ride Share and Taxi Drop off and Pick up Zone will be located on Marine Parade, between Dutton Street and Warner Street.

Will there be parking?

Parking will not be available at the event site during the event operating period and patrons are discouraged from driving to the event and encouraged to travel via public transport.

Any parking in the local Coolangatta area is restricted and has a highly enforced 3 hour limit.

There will be extremely limited parking available at the Park & Ride service outlined below.

Park & Ride

For a hassle-free day we recommend travelling to the festival via the free shuttle services or Rideshare.

An extremely limited free Park and Ride facility will be available at Betty Diamond Park, Boyd Street, Tugun.

The free shuttle services will transfer patrons to and from the event from the Park and Ride location.

General

When will set times be announced?

Set times will be released a few days before the event takes place.

Is the event on the sand?

The event is taking place on Coolangatta beach and foreshore across a combination of sand, grass and concrete terrains. The stage will be located on the beach itself and the event facilities, including food, bars and toilets will be located on the foreshore.

What type of shoes should I wear?

This is an outdoor event held on Coolangatta beach and foreshore across a combination of sand, grass and concrete terrains. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes that you can walk and dance in all day!

Will there be food available?

We will have a variety of food vendors and bars on site at Out 2 Lunch for all your dietary needs. These will include (subject to change):

Is this event accessible?

Out 2 Lunch is a single stage live music festival. 

There is a dedicated accessible entry lane into the event and dedicated lanes at all bars and official merch outlets.

Accessible toilets on site are outlined on the patron map.

There is no reserved or dedicated seating, however accessible patrons will have access to an accessible viewing platform in close proximity to the stage. Please refer to the patron map for location.

Companion Card ticket purchasers are entitled to an additional ticket for their respective carer.

The Companion Card must be presented alongside the issued ticket to gain entry to the event.

Dedicated accessible entry lanes will be available to those in possession of a Disability Card or Companion Card.

Guide Dogs are permitted on festival grounds to valid Disability Card or Companion Card holders. Please keep in mind that this will be a very loud and crowded environment.

The event grounds are wheelchair accessible, however please be aware that this is a large outdoor event that may require travelling on varied terrain; grass, sand and/or concrete. Please take extra precaution when moving throughout the site.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING:

There is no parking available at the event site during Out 2 Lunch Festival, however limited dedicated accessible parking will be available close to the site.
